Crockpot Mashed Potatoes

5-6 peeled and cubed potatoes
4-5 cups water or chicken broth
garlic powder
salt
pepper
milk
butter
  • Add peeled, cubed potatoes into your crockpot. Cover the potatoes with water or chicken broth. I normally add in water and add a chicken bouillon cube. Season with your heart with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours or until fork tender.
  • Once done, drain off any liquid. Add about ½ cup of milk and 4 tablespoons of butter to the bottom of your slow cooker. Set on warm and put the lid on for a few minutes. Let the milk warm up before mixing your mashed potatoes.
  • Add your potatoes back to your slow cooker and mash! Add more milk and butter till you get to the consistency you want! Taste and add more salt and pepper if needed! Keep on warm till ready to serve.
